The third Monday of the year has been tagged “Blue Monday” since 2005 by a UK advertising agency. They call it the most depressing day of the year in the western hemisphere since the days are long and it’s still a long way before spring begins. But it seems that… they got it all wrong.

If you’re not depressed and miserable yet, there might be a good explanation… according to Wikipedia, Blue Monday is NOT today but next week, if it ever truly exists. To quote: “In 2012, Blue Monday will fall on January 23rd which is the last full
week of January (again some confusion caused with belief it falls on
January 16th this can not be the case as January still has 15 days
remaining meaning their is more than one whole week the following
Monday).” -
Blue Monday (date) – Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaBlue Monday is a name given to a date stated, as part of a publicity campaign by Sky Travel, to be the most depressing day of the year….
