If you used to read my blog and/or portfolio, you would clearly see that we just moved. We have a new address (http://www.charedverschuur.com) and a new platform — wordpress. I maintained a blog and portfolio for quite a while with blogger. But I always had issues with it because of the limited publishing capabilities. I always felt not quite at home. Many times, I even felt ashamed that I have a blogspot address. It did not feel like it’s really mine — my website. It may sound territorial but that’s just how it felt like.
But then, I just wanted to write about mundane, everyday things, just to continue the process of writing, like I always say. Now, I would like this blog (errr… website) to take on new heights. Of course, you will still see some recipes once in a while, or a simple everyday story, but this time, I would like to really write. My new platform gives me enough inspiration to do it. Wordpress is a good publishing tool. And for those who are interested in my theme, I am using Viala, designed by David Garlitz. It took me a lot of time to find a theme that I would like — clean, slick, professional. And Viala just did it for me.
So don’t hold your breath. There’s more to come. And I hope you will like what you see and read. #
