Mark and I are in the process of completing our music cd for our Philippine wedding. We included songs from Dutch and Filipino artists. This is one of the songs that made the list — Alles is Liefde. We saw the movie last year and that was the first Dutch film I saw. I personally like it for the lyrics and the beat. It has both rock and acoustic versions.

    Dear Chared,

    As part of my romantic bonding moments with Manuel and a step-up on my dutch learning, we also saw this movie together on DVD. What I like about the movie is not just the romance it encompasses, but it also shows the culture and the characteristics of the Dutch people. I learned a lot about what they believe in and what their values are- being a child and believing that Sinterklaas does exist, the freedom to love anyone regardless of gender, appreciation to life and family, and above all- Alles is Liefde! Toch? :)

Nobody could have said it better than Paulo Coelho, “When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream. “

    Hey Chared, you know what, I have to say this now. I think you and I (almost) have the same taste and personality. It is yet too early to say but I have a lot of things in common with you. And reading your articles, I thought, if I was to say something about the same subject, I would be telling it the way you did. Back in highschool, I was also active in journalism. Although, somehow things diverted me into pursuing a medical course instead. I am glad you are living your dreams, our dreams.

    I agree about Paolo Coelho’s The Alchemist. One of my favorite motivation quotes.
