I haven’t been writing a lot lately because of the Online Journalism class I followed. The six-week online training is a project of the Radio Nederland Training Centre where I also took my Broadcast Journalism training in 2005. Joma Sison: Corona impeachment is but a cover-up

Communist Party of the Philippines Founding Chairman Jose Maria Sison assails the Philippine government in pursuing the impeachment trial against Renato Corona, current Chief Justice of the Philippine Supreme Court.

Sison maintained that Philippine President Noynoy Aquino is not after real justice but only wants to protect his family’s interest in the highly-debated Hacienda Luisita.

Philippines own Loboc Children’s Choir wowed Holland

Filipinos and foreigners alike were treated to the heavenly voices of the Loboc Children’s Choir in The Netherlands for three nights in a row. They performed in Hoofddorp on Wednesday evening, The Hague on Thursday and Venlo on Friday. The 22-song repertoire is part of a series of fund-raising concerts which will culminate in Spain where they are to take part in the Certamen Coral de Tolosa competition from October 29 to November 1.

Azkals win over SC-Bonner Team

The Azkals win 4-1 against the Bonner team in their second match against German football teams. Bonner SC U19 is the football team of Bonn, Germany where the games were also held. The games are part of their two-week training in Germany in preparation for their match against Sri Lanka on June 29 and July 3. The warm reception of the Filipino community in this part of Europe must have also helped in keeping the spirit of the players in good shape.
