You know, I have this habit of thinking happy thoughts to assuage my daily inconveniences like missing the bus, getting rained at or simply trying to stop my bladder from bursting. Since a new year has begun, new year’s resolutions are just around the corner. The truth is, and I’m quoting this from my bestfriend, “I’m not big on new year’s resolutions”. I think that if we want to resolve or change something, we can do that any day of the year. But it does make it easier to chart when we do it the first day of the year. Just imagine, if you decide to quit smoking and start on January 1 and people ask you how long you have stopped smoking on say, June 1, it’s easy to say that you have stopped for five months already. So that might be the logic behind new year’s resolutions?
